Zitouni

Zitouni makes you feel like you’ve gone to Lebanon and back…with a Nile view of course.
Blurring the boundaries between art and eating spaces, the atmosphere is eclectic; add to that good service and on any given day you’ll find the business crowd, fashionable mothers and families. It’s certainly a comfortable place to be for a couple of hours; but what lured my taste buds here was the promise of home made cooking and the skills of Chef Najwa and Chef Fadi who offer a varied and healthy menu that changes daily.
Zitouni also has a buffet station and a salad bar (two of my favorite words). The specialty – and not to be missed – was their fresh bread Markok, Kosa Bil Laban, Vine Leaves and Chicken Mogrebeya.
Choosing a dessert proved a hard task as everything available we wanted it! We settled for the Cheesecake with Blueberries and Cinnamon Rice Pudding with Orange Blossom Water, and a fresh seasonal platter of fruit.
Did I also mention they’re open 24 hours a day? So go ahead and indulge your Lebanese spirit!
