New traffic laws & fines announced

These are the new traffic rules published by the traffic control department and dated May 08

7	Driving a car with foreign number plates or driving license	150.000	Plus 1-4 Week prison or both.
8	Hit and Run	250.000	Plus 1-3 Month prison or both.
9	Crossing a RED Signal Light	250.000	Plus 1-3 Month prison or both.
10	Driving against the traffic in a one way street.	250.000	Plus 1-3 Month prison or both.
11	Driving under the influence of alcohol	500.000	Plus 3-6 Month prison or both.
12	Driving without a license	500.000	Plus 3-6 Month prison or both.
13	Exceeding the speed limit with 1-10 km/hr	50.000
14	Exceeding the speed limit with 10-20 km/hr	100.000
