Hard Rock Cafe – Garden City
June 9, 2008 by admin
Thirty years after the Hard Rock Café opened its first branch in London, just across from Buckingham Palace, a new location in Cairo opened, adding to over 100 HRC’s around the globe.
I must say, however, that the Cairo branch certainly has one of the most impressive and breathtaking locations – on the shore of the River Nile. Similar to all HRC’s around the world, the Cairo branch also boasts an impressive display of famous music memorabilia.
If you’re looking for a fun night out, then you’ve chosen the right place. Start with a frozen daiquiri or just an ice cold brew. Then order up a gigantic plate of nachos to share, then one of their world famous cheeseburgers and finish it all off with a hot fudge brownie, or at least that’s what I did.
What’s nice about this Hard Rock Café is the versatility it provides- by day it’s a restaurant, yet by night, it transforms into one of Cairo’s hottest night spots. The staff are not only trained to serve guests, but also to entertain. And since it was our lucky day, we even got to see them dancing, or rather enthusiastically participating in the classic rendition of Y.M.C.A.
After 30 years, Hard Rock Café remains extraordinarily faithful to its original intentions. Its rock ‘n’ roll sensibility remains at the very centre of the restaurants.
You can document your memory with their souvenir shop, in which merchandise such as t-shirts, jackets, hats, pins and sunglasses – all display the signature Hard Rock logo.
